SYNOPSIS: A light, warm and marginally moist wind flow produced by a trough induced by Hurricane Oscar will maintain a high chance of showers across the region. The winds remaining light throughout the day will also contribute to an uncomfortably warm environment.
WEATHER TODAY: Partly sunny at first then becoming cloudy during the latter part of the morning and this afternoon with a 70 percent or high chance of showers. There is also a 20 percent or slight chance of thunderstorms during the afternoon.
WEATHER TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a 70 percent or high chance of showers.
WINDS: Southeasterly at 6 to 15 km/h or 3 to 8 knots today then becoming light and variable or calm tonight.
SEAS: Low swells with significant wave heights 1.2 to 2.1 metres or 4 to 7 feet. A high surf advisory remains in effect and hence, beachgoers should continue to exercise caution against above normal breaking swells.
