HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR BEACH GOERS

HERE’S MONTSERRAT’S NATIONAL WEATHER FORECAST

VALID UP TO 8 AM THURSDAY JANUARY 9TH, 2019

Synopsis: A fairly weak pressure gradient will maintain a gentle wind flow across the region today. A dry and stable airmass settling over the area will also maintain for the most a low chance of showers across the islands.

WEATHER TODAY: Partly sunny with a 30 percent or low chance of showers.

WEATHER TONIGHT: Mostly fair with a 10 percent or slight chance of showers.

WINDS: Easterly today at 11 to 22 km/h or 6 to 12 knots then shifting to the East-southeast tonight at 6 to 15 km/h or 3 to 8 knots..

SEAS: 1.2 to 1.5 metres or 4 to 5 feet.. Breaking swells will produce surfs that could become hazardous for beach goers; therefore, a High Surf Advisory is in effect.
