HERE’S MONTSERRAT’S NATIONAL WEATHER FORECAST VALID UP TO 8 AM FRIDAY JANUARY 9TH, 2019

 

SYNOPSIS: A slack pressure gradient will continue to generate light winds across the area. Due to the orientation of the wind flow, it will transport warm moist air over the islands. This coupled with day time heating could materialize into unsettled weather conditions.

WEATHER TODAY: Partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy skies with a 50 percent or a moderate chance of showers and a 30 percent or low chance of afternoon thunderstorms.

WEATHER TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with 40 percent or a moderate chance of early morning showers.

Winds: South-easterly becoming easterly around midnight and will range between 7 to 22 km/h or 4 to 12 knots. Occasional variable or calm winds are also likely during this period.

SEAS: Not exceeding 1.2 metres or 4 feet.
