UNSETTLED WEATHER DUE TO A LOW-LEVEL SYSTEM AIDED BY FAVOURABLE UPPER-LEVEL CONDITIONS

HERE’S THE REST OF THE MONTSERRAT’S NATIONAL WEATHER FORECAST

VALID UP TO 8 AM SATURDAY JUNE1ST, 2019

SYNOPSIS: A low-level low-pressure system aided by favourable upper-level conditions will generate unsettled weather across the island during the course of the forecast period. Showers, some becoming moderate and even heavy at times, can be anticipated with the possibility of thunderstorm activity. Possible rainfall totals of 15 to 40 mm or 0.6 to 1.50 inch of rain are anticipated therefore minor flooding is possible in flood-prone and low lying areas.

WEATHER TODAY: Cloudy with showers and a 40 percent or moderate chance of thunderstorms

WEATHER TONIGHT: Cloudy with showers

WINDS: East-southeast where speeds will range between 19 to 30 km/h or 10 to 16 knots. Occasional lighter spells are also likely.

SEAS: 1.2 to 1.8 metres or 4 to 6 feet.
