The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services issued the following Air Quality Bulletin on Saturday July 17, 2021 @ 9: 50 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air Quality Index Based on Particulate Matters 2.5 (PM2.5) and 10 (PM10) Concentration<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air quality category: Moderate<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Location: Montserrat<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Timing: Until Wednesday<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Synopsis: The air quality is reduced to moderate levels, as a result of an increase of particulate matters 2.5 and 10, associated with a fresh surge in Saharan Dust. The threat of health problems is elevated, for mainly unusually sensitive people, such as asthmatics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air quality index: 50 to 80<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alert Level: II<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sensitive groups: People with respiratory or heart disease, the elderly and children are the groups most at risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Health implications: Air quality is acceptable; however, for some pollutants there may be a moderate health concern for a very small number of people who are unusually sensitive to air pollution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Caution: Active children and adults, and people with respiratory disease, such as asthma, should limit prolonged outdoor exertion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
