Yellow Hill – Thursday, 1 September -According to a Tropical Cyclone Alert Statement Issued by The Antigua And Barbuda Meteorological Services on Wednesday morning, there are no watches or warnings in effect at this time for Montserrat; however, residents and visitors here are advised to monitor the progress of AL91!

At 8 o’clock Thursday morning, the Nationa Hurricane Center Advisory states that Disturbance AL91 located several hundred miles east of the Leeward Islands has changed little this morning. AL91 has an 80% or a high chance of becoming a Tropical Depression in 5 days and, a 60% in 48 hours.

We are still awaiting the Thursday morning Tropical Alert Statement from the Antigua And Barbuda Meteorological Services, and as soon as the information becomes available to us, the DMCA will release it.

Meantime, there are two other systems in the Atlantic; Tropical Depression Five and Tropical Disturbance 2, none of the systems is a threat to Montserrat.

The Disaster Management Coordination Agency, DMCA will continue to monitor Tropical Disturbance AL91 and provide regular updates as soon as information is released from the Antigua and Barbuda Met Services and the NHC.
