Yellow Hill, Montserrat – October 10, 2020 – Disturbance 1, located about 39°W and 9°N is moving westward at about 15 to 20 mph.

Slow development of this system could be possible later this weekend or early next week. Upper-level winds are forecast to become unfavourable for further development by the middle of next week. Formation chance through 5 days is 20 percent.

Tropical Storm Gamma formed near the Gulf of Mexico on Friday night continues to strengthen in the Caribbean as it moves closer to landfall on the Yucatan Peninsula and meteorologists are also tracking three other tropical systems with the potential to form into tropical cyclones.

Disturbance 2 east of Montserrat, between African and the Caribbean, has a 20% chance of becoming a Tropical Cyclone in 5 days.
